My sound has worked wonderfully for as long as I can remember and now .. POOF .. it's gone.

The only crazy stunt I've tried is using initng for one boot to see how fast it really is. I switched back to sysinit, but I don't know if it's coincidence or not.

Athlon 64
Gentoo-2.6.11-r7 (I've tried later versions w/ same results)

grrr.. It's supposed to be movie night here :( Now I got no sound!!

EDIT: Ok.. my onboard sound works, so movie night is saved :D .. I still want my audigy back though if anybody has any ideas ;)

I didn't fix my Audigy :( I just loaded the driver for my onboard sound (which i've never had to use).

My good card is still "dead" :?
