bonjour,
j'essai d'intaller mon imprimante (pcl6)
ayant eu de très mauvais resultat avec cups + ppd j'essai les drivers fourni par brother fonctionnant avec lpr.

voila mon printcap :

        :sh:\
        :lp=/dev/usb/lp0:\
        :if=/usr/local/Brother/lpd/filterHL5040:


lorsque j'effectue la commande : "/usr/bin/lpr -P HL5040 /home/defus/print.ps"
l'imprimante clignote puis rien.

si j'enlève le filtre, l'imprimante imprime en texte le contenu du .ps

C'est bizarre car cette imprimante est signalée comme "works Perfectly" sur http://www.linuxprinting.org/show_printer.cgi?recnum=Brother-HL-5040
Comment as tu installé ton imprimante la première fois ? avec foomatic ?

oui, avec foomatic, le chargement dans la memoire pour imprimer une simple feuille de teste pouvais alors prendre 10min facilement.
