Is it possible to have installed gtk+-1.2.10 and gtk+-2.6.8 on gentoo system? I get this error message:
Quote: | !!! Problem in x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10 dependencies.
!!! "Specific key requires an operator (x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10) (try adding an '=')" exceptions |
when I try to instal gtk1 (gtk2 I have allready installed)
what should I do? What does this means: "(try adding an '=')" ? |

crdlb,
I tried it, and this is the result:
emerge =x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10
Calculating dependencies
emerge: there are no ebuilds to satisfy "=x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10".
content of my /usr/portage/x11-libs/gtk+ is:
ls /usr/portage/x11-libs/gtk+
files
gtk+-2.6.10.ebuild
gtk+-2.8.3-r1.ebuild
metadata.xml
gtk+-1.2.10-r10.ebuild
gtk+-2.6.7.ebuild
ChangeLog
gtk+-1.2.10-r11.ebuild
gtk+-2.6.8.ebuild

In which case "emerge -av =x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10" should do the trick. |

Ii seems that it will be installed OK now :
Quote: | emerge -av =x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10
These are the packages that I would merge, in order:
Calculating dependencies ...done!
[ebuild NS ] x11-libs/gtk+-1.2.10-r10 -debug +nls 0 kB |
Thanks. |
