Hi! i've successfully installed Gentoo Linux on my Fujitsu-Siemens Amilo M1424. I've a problem concerning ACPI subsystem: it can't recognize correctly my CPU temp sensor and my fan speed so it always returns that my current temp is 75°C with fan turned off!
How can I have it work right? My kernel is 2.6.12-gentoo-r10.
Thanks to all, Alberto. _________________ Registered Linux User n.° 324313 |

Have a look here. Maybe you need a custom DSDT. |

the amilo has a faked sensor, which always returns 75°.. even in Windows.
For ACPI to function properly try adding "acpi_os_name="Microsoft Windows XP" to your kernel line. For me, things are working much better that way. Even quiet mode works. Only problem left is that it will not recognise the switch between battery power and power supply.. but that is not important for me. |
