Hello, i tried mplayer but didnt like it. So i make
i still unsure if i use the right command to uninstall..
Than i want to try ffmpeg and vlc where after emerging i couldnt work with them. When i click on teheir icons nothing happens. Now i want to try xine i hope it will work.
What my question is, is there a program like add/remove program thing in windows?

If you want a GUI with VLC, you'll need to have the "wxwindows" USE-flag set. Set it, then do Code: | emerge --update --deep --newuse world | You can then start VLC by typing "wxvlc" in a terminal. There's several frontends for Xine, like GXine or Kaffeine. What package did you emerge?

emerge porthole
It's just a front-end to "emerge". |

Porthole has the option to remove a program in the advanced emerge dialog, but we do not yet have the option to Clean out any no longer needed dependencies. (it is on our TODO list, or will be.) _________________ Brian
