Sharing files between Linux(PC) & MacOS9, is it possible

I have PC and iMac and both of them have different ip addresses. Computers are located in different rooms, so "direct linking" is not possible. Can I share files over network?

Yes you can.
As to how you want to do it, there are quite a few ways.

Those links should get you started with getting appletalk setup if you want to use that.

I'm sure there are ssh clients for the mac so that would also be a possibilty.

If you look around I'm sure macs can use windows file sharing (the newest OSX has a built in Samba server...) which you can also have linux use which will solve your problem as well.
