perl questions in 2005.1 stage1 install

when i was install my gentoo 2005.1 from stage1
emerge -e system
they give me some messages look like this

QA Notice:USE FLAG "userland.Darwin" not in IUSE for dev-lang/perl-5.8.7-r1

"
i give no methion
but when i emerge fvwm and compile xmlparse package which fvwm dependence.
the perl make xml error
i can not emerge my fvwm,who can help me

No help here, I am having the same issue with the QA notice about userland_darwin.

I did come across someone else with a similar issue, and the common theme was that they were also using a shared portage tree across nfs. Don't know how it could affect it. Are you using NFS to share your portage tree?
