Ok so I have a CLP-510 and the drivers from samsung don't work. I can install the printer in CUPS or KDE but all the printer will do is warm up and then never print. If I go to cups and look at the jobs it says it was aborted. The samsung driver also uses some filters for CUPS but I can't tell if it is using the filters or not. I did
Code: | echo test >> /dev/usb/lp0 |
and again it warms up the printer but never prints any sugestions? _________________ Live every day like it's your last ......

no I never did and it seems that there are several people that are online that haven't either. Now the only thing that it needs is the filter from samsung and I couldn't figure out how to get CUPS to use that filer. I did get it to print once but that was by using windows (YUCK!!!) to print to a file and then using Linux to just cat that file to the printer. so that is how I know that it needs that filter _________________ Live every day like it's your last ......
