hey there i'm trying to install gentoo on a system where the only network adapter avaliable is a 3com 3crshew696, i've read some stuff on the web and i think that the adapter is supported using the atmel drivers however i have no clue on how to load them or how to make the adapter work.. could anyone link me or write a tutorial on how to make the card work? i'm kinda newbie to gentoo so step by step instructions with "normal" language would be wicked.... thanks in advance |

As far as I know the driver for that card is not on the livecd. That means you need to do a networkless install using the universal livecd, or find another network card.
Once you have an installed system, you can get the driver and build the module. See here for more information _________________ Please add [solved] to the initial post's subject line if you feel your problem is resolved. Help answer the unanswered
