Hi,
I'm having problems running Skype on Gnome. I have these use flags:

[ebuild R ] net-im/skype-1.2.0.17 -arts +esd +static 7,735 kB

so skype.bin is wrapped with esddsp. I can ear the phone ringing but as soon as I answer the phone no sound is coming from my speakers and nobody can ear what I say in my mike. I also tried aoss using several .alsasoundrc that I found in these forums without success.
Any suggestions?

Solution:
I changed /etc/esd/esd.conf to this

auto_spawn=1
spawn_options=-terminate -nobeeps -as 1
spawn_wait_ms=100
# default options are used in spawned and non-spawned mode
default_options= -as 1

Now it works fine. Hope this can help.
