|
|
I have a PDF where I would like to quote the author, but when I mark the text "Funtions" in acroread, hits C+c and insert it here:
Not pretty, right? The same happens if I try to copy it to emacs. Is there no way I can copy text from a PDF document?
/Peter

It actually works fine for me using KPDF.
It's the best PDF reader I've used yet.

The selection of text is a little odd because it doesn't follow "text lines" but if you select text with it and paste it in a text editor it will work fine... I tested it before answering you to make sure
Hope it works out for you.

I still cannot get it to work, but I tried it with a different .pdf file and there it works. Apparently it is just the .pdf that I need copy from that causes the problem |

I've had a similar problem a few days ago. Text selection and searching in the pdf wasn't possible. Google seems to be able to cope with broken pdfs better - using scholar.google.com I was able to locate the paper and search within it using the "View as HTML" option. _________________ KDE |
