hello, i just installed gentoo on a i686 machine with scsi periferals

all of that is okay (imo), but what about that "targetx:x : asyncronous." stuff?
i really don't know in this case, but isn't asyncronous some kind of a bad word?
as i said, i just don't know...
can somebody please clear things up for me?

hmm, thanks for the hint
it looks like synchronous transfer would be much faster
is there a way to "set" the transfer mode somehow? |

How are the devices set in the adaptec bios?
