I use an high resolution S-VID video conferencing cam as a webcam. Currently I am using a WinTV card for this on the current x86 server that I am trying to replace(its too big, too loud, and way overkill for a personal web/mail server)
I have a netra t1 (headless & no sound)
I am having problems with the kernel compile. I have done some preliminary digging and I am getting alot of conflicting info. Some say you need 2.6 for this and I was under the impression that 2.6 wasn't stable for sparc yet.
Others say that 2.4 works. Others say its broken in 2.4 becuase of the virt_to_bus_not_defined_use_pci_map problem.
I have enabled the I2C subsystem as well as v4l.
Would posting my .config help?
Does anyone have the real answer to this?
Is it my kernel source that is the problem?
do I need to patch?
People keep looking but nobody has any responses. |
