I use Quod libet as my uadio player and really like it. I normally use ogg vorbis, but recently got some mp3s off a friend. EVen though the mp3s are imported fine, they are not played. Quod libet gives out this error message:
W: Skipping what doesn't look like audio data...
It says this and moves to the next track and says the same. These mp3s do have images associated with them and the images appear in the top right hand corner.
Does anyone else have this problem, and does anyone know how to fix it?
Thanks |

Maybe you've already done it, but if haven't, take a look at http://www.sacredchao.net/quodlibet/wiki/FAQ in fine
I didn't suffer any problem like that (and also have mp3/ogg vorbis with idtags that provide info about the album cover).
If FAQ doesn't help consider filing a ticket at QL's homepage. They work really quick (whenever possible).
cheers. |

What version of quod libet do you use?
I use the one from portage, but I think that is a bit out of date. |

I was using 0.13.1 (simply copy current portage ebuild into PORTAGE_OVERLAY and rename it properly and you'll be using latest stable), and i didn't notice what you've said.
QL is evolving (adding new features, enhancing GUI, solving bugs) pretty fast, as you can see here, and since i'm currently doing the galician translation i use latest svn trunk (installed manually, dependencies via portage... hope you've read that is needed to avoid pyvorbis-1.4).
