For some reason, when I try using fbsplash, I get an error on startup that says /dev/fb0 cannot be found. I checked /dev, and see that there is an fb0. What's wrong?
(Sorry I can't give the exact error- fbsplash comes up before gpm, so I can't copy the error )

Have u included the Video mode selection (CONFIG_VIDEO_SELECT=y) in your kernel??
it's under
Code: | -> Device Drivers
-> Graphics support
-> Console display driver support
-> VGA text console (VGA_CONSOLE [=y])

Yup, that's set.
I think it might be a permission problem...
(in the first post, I meant that I see that there is an fb0 device) |
