Is there such a thing as NFS failover?
I have Network Computers that have all their filesystems mounted over NFS. They work great, reboot, take changes without ever having to go around to all 60 of them to manually reboot them.
Unless the server goes down.
This happens infrequencly ("unscheduled" maintanence, crashes, whatever), but when it does, I have to go around to all of them to turn them off and on again. I have a backup server for them, which works fine if I know about scheduled outages.
Is there such a thing as NFS failover, where if the main server was to fail the client would then mount a different NFS server to get at the same files? _________________ Life is too short and too important to { take seriously | use Windows }. |
