Gentoo is fresh installed (kernel 2.6.13) on a

Sony Vaio - AMD - Athlon XP 1400+

When the system starts, the boot process hangs forever showing the message:

input: AT Translated Set 2 keyboard on isa0060/serio0

If i plug-in A USB MOUSE BEFORE booting,
everything works fine!

The BIOS is the problem!

The item

TouchPad/Ext. PS2 Mouse

must be set to

Exclusive
