|
|
Hey people,
I am trying to get my box to send e-mail using Squirrelmail. I am using sendmail for this, and the path is set correctly. Only, whenever I send an e-mail I get no error messages, but the e-mails are never delivered. I have checked and sendmail is running.
In one of my logs I found the following message:
Quote: | Oct 8 11:00:01 Saidin cron[160]: (jeroen) MAIL (mailed 49 bytes of output but got status 0x004e ) |
I'm not sure if it's related but do any of you have any clues what I may be doing wrong? Firewall issues? Configuration mess-ups? Any hints will help |

Configuration, certainly - which is impossible to troubleshoot without any more information.
Check the basics: is sendmail running, and can you send mail by hand ?
Code: | ps fax | grep sendmail |
As root, run:
Code: | mail jeroen -s TEST |
End the mail with a single dot on a line.
Also, really read your sendmail logs - that one line is wholly unrelated (it's a cron job output). _________________ >>> emerge (3 of 7) mcse/70-293 to /
