|
|
I have been working on getting X installed and setup on my Compaq R4000 Notebook for the past day and a half. The latest error I got after umerging xorg-x11 and emerging it again. That went fine with the excepting of it telling me that I had some .conf files in /etc that were needed updating. I then typed X -config and got the following error : Code: | Symbol XAAGetPixmapIndex from module /usr/lib64/modules/drivers/apm_drv.o is unresolved |
This apears numerous times in the log file and on the screen after I give the command.
EDIT
I think that the more pertanint question is what is the directory /usr/lib64/modules/drivers? and what useses it? and how does X use it?
END EDIT

To update conf files in /etc use etc-update
To configure X11 xorgconfig or try xorg + Tab twice. It will give you available commands.
I think x-config isn't related to X's. |
