I'm pretty sure most of my hardware should work with linux.
The only peice of hardware I have doubts about is my router.
It's a "Sitecom ADSL Annex A Homestation DC-14 Router".
I checked the Sitecom website but I haven't found a definative answer.

Routers dont need support, you dont need a driver.
You plug-in the Ethernet-Cable, tell Gentoo to use dhcp to retrieve the IP and Gateway, and thats all.
Routers work with any OS. |

Is it external or internal ?
With google I founded only some 'nederlandse' page discussing about some problems with it. _________________ 1st use 'Search' & lastly add [Solved] to

trixion,
Welcome to Linux, and Gentoo in particular.
How is your router connected to your PC?
With a RJ-45 network cable or USB ?
If its a real network connection, it will just work, if its USB it will be a little harder.
You can test with a liveCD. Thats a linux CD that runs linux without installing anything on your HDD
A well respected, full featured one is Knoppix.
The Gentoo install CDs are also liveCDs. They allow you to install but do not do it for you. _________________ Regards,
