i tried to list the snapshot of X-86 by

# ls /mnt/cdrom/snapshot

and this is what i got:
Quote:
hdc: media error (bad sector): status=0x51 { DriveReady SeekComplete Error }
hdc: media error (bad sector): error=0x34 { AbortedCommand LastFailedSense=0x03 }
ide: failed opcode was: unknown
end_request: I/O error, dev hdc, sector 196
ISOFS: unable to read i-node block
ls: /mnt/cdrom/snapshot: I/O error
What does this mean? how do i resolve it?

Hi,

it seems that either your cdrom drive is broken or (more probable) the cdrom media is broken --> in the latter case the error should be resolved if you burn a new cd.

Cheers, R.

Is this the first time you've used this live cd. It may be damaged physicaly or it may not have burned properly. If possible try burning another CD and try again. This time use data verification in the burning program if possible.
