anyone have any experience with this before? any thoughts on why this would happen? Tried 2 different USB mice and they shut off randomly while using them. U have to unplug them and replug them back in to get them to function... Nothing odd in dmesg appears (except the showing of another mouse) and nothing in the xorg logs. It happens on all usb ports, but doesnt act this way in windows. any thoughts?

I have the same problem, but on a desktop.

The mouse pointer just dissapears and it is like there is no mouse at all in X.

I have to unplug it and plug it to another port, plugging into the same port will not do.

The strangest thing is that this did not happen before a world update some time ago, so I don't know which package is responsible.

Unfortunately, it might be a hardware issue, since the box got changed, but for another with exactly the same kind of hardware, so it is not clear if it is indeed a package or not :(

Any ideas? It is pretty annoying.

Thanks!!!

Eduardo
