serial ports on amd64 machine [Solved]

I have a RF device that connects thru serial port. On 32bit pentium gentoo machines and on windows machines, i can read the serial port and data is what i expect. but on amd64 machine i can read the device but data is not what i expect. It doesn't matter what tool i use (pyserial, c, kermit....etc). Is there something i am not aware how to configure and read on 64-bit machines? is there a difference of serial port reading between 32-bit and 64-bit machines?
