|
|
I fist noticed this in Inkscape, I was unable to re-open my svg files. I then I noticed it was Gnome wide. If I try to start a Gnome session I get some error message boxes,no background and very minimal menus with no app entries. Here is the output from Nautilus when I run it from a CLI.
nautilus
(nautilus:25612): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_ref: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
(nautilus:25612): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_unref: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
(nautilus:25612): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_ref: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
(nautilus:25612): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_make_directory_for_uri_cancellable: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
(nautilus:25612): libgnomevfs-CRITICAL **: gnome_vfs_uri_unref: assertion `uri != NULL' failed
Multiple segmentation faults occurred; can't display error dialog
I have re-emerged gnome-vfs and nautilus. Done a revdep-rebuild as well but the problem persists. Unable to find a solution on the forums, pleas help. |

I ended up unmerging all packages in gnome-base and gnome-extra, added '-gnome' to my USE flags and re-emerged inkscape, the app I wanted to use, and now I can open up files. I have no idea what was causing the gnome-vfs errors. |

Same here, i unmerged gnome-vfs and gnome-mime-data and i remerged inkscape, the weird thing is that i already had -gnome...
