Hey
Im trying to install Gentoo to my laptop. But it fails before the installation begins.
Im trying to install with the livecd.
The nice gentoo logo is shown.
Then:
Loading gentoo..
Loading intitrd..
Uncompressing Linux... Ok, booting the kernel.
And nothing more.. Why? |

What type of Laptop is it?
What processor, amount of RAM, graphics card etc?

after you boot from the 1.2 cd just download (wget) the 1.4 tarbal. This will be the same as if you had use the 1.4 iso. |

Once you've emerged any updates your install will be the same as any current release. _________________ ^<^>^<^>^
