Hi All:
Emerged wireless tools,
Emerged ndiswrapper,
Downloaded the 802.11 drivers from Acer's website,
Copied over the bcmwl5a.ing and the *.sys file to my home,
and did this:
ndiswrapper ./ndis/bcmwl5a.inf
johnathlonlinux jserink # iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed
johnathlonlinux jserink # iwconfig wlan0 key restricted xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
johnathlonlinux jserink # iwconfig wlan0 essid JohnandGrace
johnathlonlinux jserink # iwconfig wlan0
Warning: Driver for device wlan0 recommend version 18 of Wireless Extension,
but has been compiled with version 17, therefore some driver features
may not be available...

Also emerged the wireless plugin for gkrellm, works great as well.
