Ciao,
dopo l'upgrade a gcc-3.6 mi ritrovo un bel po' di roba in /usr/lib/gcc-lib/i686-pc-linux-gnu/3.3.4/.
La posso cancellare tranquillamente?

Se hai impostato, tramite il comando gcc-config di usare la versione 3.3.6, sì, puoi cancellare senza problemi la versione vecchia (la versione 3.3.4 non è nemmeno + in portage).
NON cancellare la directory e basta, ma rimuovi completamente il pacchetto, quindi

emerge -C =gcc-<vecchia_versione>

Pare che con l'upgrade si è impostata da sola a 3.3.6. Grazie, cancello con gioia 
EDIT...
Ah no aspetta!! Ma credo sia lì per i programmi compilati col vecchio gcc, no?

Non preoccuparti, nessun programma è "linkato" alle librerie contenute nel pacchetto gcc, esse servono solamente in fase di compilazione!

Un momento... mi sono ricordato di fix_libtool_files.sh, non serve proprio quando si upgrada il gcc?

Devi usare quello script nel caso di errore in fase di compilazione di determinati pacchetti.

Se non hai problemi a compilare, IMHO elimina la vecchia versione di gcc!

Ok, grazie. Pero' come vedi che i programmi linkano le librerie di gcc, o meglio del c che pero' nel nostro caso e' gcc
