when i try to boot, i first get this error: Code: | eth0:unknown interface:No such device
SIOCSIFBADDR:no such device |
and that is repeated about 3 times. next it goes through "starting local" and "mounting network filesystems", and then hangs for about 2 minutes.
after that, it says the following:
Code: | INIT: ID "c3" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: ID "c4" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: ID "c5" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: ID "c1" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: ID "c6" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: ID "c2" respawning too fast:disabled for 5 minutes
INIT: no more proccesses left in this runlevel |
then it sits there, and dosent do anything.
I have tried removing local, and netfs from the runlevel, by booting off the gentoo install cd, but then it just does all the same stuff except dosent say starting local, netfs.
what could i do to fix this? it is a big problem right now, because i cant boot it, and i need to.
thanks in advance |
