This is my make.conf

Code:

# These settings were set by the catalyst build script that automatically built this stage
# Please consult /etc/make.conf.example for a more detailed example
CFLAGS='-02 -march=pentium3"
CHOST="i686-pc-linux-gnu"
CXXFLAGS="${CFLAGS}"
MAKEOPTS="-j2"
GENTOO_MIRRORS="ftp://ftp.ussg.iu.edu/pub/linux/gentoo http://adelie.polymtl.ca/ ftp://gentoo.chem.wisc.edu/gentoo http://gentoo.chem.wisc.edu/gentoo/"
USE="-gtk -gnome qt kde dvd alsa cdr"

Have you tried using --deep with emerge? There may be a dependency that also needs updating.

Code:
emerge -upD xorg-x11

D is short for --deep. When you are happy with what it will emerge, remove p.

Seems to me the problem lies in a header file giving GCC an invalid instruction.

Try
Code:
emerge x11

And if you get the same error, definately submit this one.

I may have figured out what the problem is, but have to wait till i can try it out to see. If it doesn't work i try the emerge x11 and then bug it if still not going. I'll update this thread when i some answers. Thanks for your guys help.
