Witam!
nawet nie zauwazylem dokladnie kiedy w systemie mialem upgrade Mysqla do wersji 5.0
dalem mu pozniej mysql_install_db
chicialem dodac hasla dla roota, ale juz nie lykal komend z opisu konfiguracji mysqla
teraz przy probie odpalenia wywala takie cos

co moze byc? co robic:)
ktos sie juz z tym spotkal?
dodatkowo pojawily sie problemy ze wszystkimi aplikacjami korzystajacymi z mysqla jak np amarok ktory nie widzi libmysqlclient
co to moze byc?

Po pierwsze. Nie mogłeś "nagle nie zauważyć" że masz już mysql 5.x, bo musiałeś dać:

Poza tym trzeba uważnie czytać co Gentoo napisało na ekranie:

Więc proszę, ogranicz te niepotrzebne ściemy.

dokladnie to samo mam ci do powiedzenia - niemozliwe, zebys nie zauwazyl ze masz nagle 5.0
wklej logi moze z /var/log/mysql/* bo nic nie wiadomo
ze amarok ci nie widzi libmysql*, powod jest prosty - zmienila sie ta biblioteka w nowej wersji mysqla. uruchom revdep-rebuild albo przekomiluj reszcznie emerge -D --newuse world |

a co do wydawania specjalnych polecen to nic nie dawalem
jedyne co zrobilem to wywalilem wczesniej mysqla 4
fakt zle sie wczesniej wyrazilem.
nie doczytalem tego info o zmianie wielkosci pliku
sorki za zawracanie dupy
dzieki za wskazowki
