I'm getting this on multiple systems and after a sync:

Your requested version 1.5.1 is about three versions OLD. There are 1.6, 1.6.1? and 1.7.

| You should try changing your rsync mirror. In /etc/make.conf add or edit the line SYNC="" and add a rysnc mirror from this list. |

I've got the exact same issue on 2 different machines and after multiple resyncs and sync location changes....
any other suggestions?

fixed it.
| Code: | | rm /usr/portage/distfiles/*fox* && emerge mozilla-firefox |
did it, but it took me twice. Apparently, on of the mozilla mirrors has a corrupt package or something, or at least the transfer got screwed up.
