After installing NWN, the graphics would corrupt and hang X while asking for the Cd Key. The sound would continue playing.
I managed to get around this by creating a nwncdkey.ini file.
I can play the game without any problems, yet the graphics corruption and hanging occurs while in the menus.
My main concern is if I install one of the expansions, it will ask for the new cd key and I may not be able to suceed in getting past that stage. |

Do you get any output when you run it from the console? Do other 3D games work OK, what about audio does that work ok and what are you using ALSA or OSS?
I think console output would be the most useful now |

Did you install NWN from the ebuild or manually?
Have you tried my masked and split ebuilds? Check out https://bugs.gentoo.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106789 for instructions. I plan on unmasking these ebuilds sometime in the near future, as it seems they work out pretty well. _________________ Ex-Gentoo Developer

Ta Wolf, I'll give it a try.
Yeah I use ALSA with OSS support. What gets me is that the game runs completly fine.
I installed from the stable ebuild.
I don't receive any output from the console.
Cheers. |
