How can I get mrtg to monitor disk usage?

I tried several scripts I read online and could not find one to track disk usage that worked properly. I used the gentoo wiki guide and got mrtg working once before. However before I set it up on this gentoo install for this particular server, I'd like to know if there's any relevant information as to how I would get disk usage monitoring to work in gentoo.
