|
|
I have updated my gentoo system and ndiswrapper upgraded from version 1.2 to version 1.4
After this update the ndiswrapper module failt to load in the kernel. Eigtherwith modprobe and with insmod. The message returned is:
cees@cees2 /lib/modules/2.6.12-gentoo-r9/misc $ sudo modprobe ndiswrapper
FATAL: Error inserting ndiswrapper (/lib/modules/2.6.12-gentoo-r9/misc/ndiswrapper.ko): Operation not permitted
cees@cees2 /lib/modules/2.6.12-gentoo-r9/misc $ sudo insmod ndiswrapper.ko
insmod: error inserting 'ndiswrapper.ko': -1 Operation not permitted
I have tried to reemerge the previous version of ndiswrapper after I unmerged the faulty one, but the error message remained. I have removed all configuration of ndiswrapper and reemerged it, and I have build a new kernel before trieing to reemerge the ndiswrapper, and all resulted in the same failiure
I hope someone can help me |

Solved...
After repeating the whole procedure again, I now can insmod the ndiswrapper driver.. I don't know what I did wrong, but it works again. |
