After i connected my usb-player wth my pc, i cant find him anymore. This first happened after i updated the kernel.
Now i downgraded to 2.6.12-gentoo-r10 but i still have the problem.
I think it has something to do with udev, because i updated udev some weeks ago and also updated the conf.
Any Help?

I am not sure does it relate to your problem but there was a bug in udev-070 some days ago (fixed in udev-070-r1). Make sure you are not on udev-070

So is it detected when you plug the player into the USB? Look at dmesg for help. If you find that in dmesg try to mount it manually before configure your udev again.

i located the problem:
hotplug doesnt load the necessary modules anymore, dont know why.
So i just added them to modules.autoload (sd-mod and usb-storage) and now it works.
