hi,
i am new to linux, and new to the forum
so please help me,
here is the message when i type emerge kde-base
i tried to download and install glib-2.6.2.tar.bz2,
but there still have aborted |

have you completed the base gentoo install? (able to boot without installation live cd) |

yes i can boot without the installation cd

I'm using ubuntu, too
i have network in ubuntu, and do chroot /mnt/gentoo to install gentoo package
i don't really know how to configure network in gentoo, so i do this way
don't have ftp network
maybe the distfile is not valide, the file is not exist on the net

no one knows
please help me, i haven't tried gentoo yet
can i install kde-base without internet connection
or are there anyway to emerge kdebase without the package glib...? |
