Hi.
Ich habe folgendes Problem:
Habe auf meinem Amilo m 7400 frisch gentoo stage 3 installiert.
Kernel nutze ich gentoo-sources.
Habe im Kernel PCMCIA/CARDBUS Support aktiviert.
Habe auch yenta_socket fest eingebaut.
wenn ich meine netgear wg511 in den pcmcia slot stecke passiert ersteinmal garnichts.
mit lspci sehe ich dann folgenden neuen eintrag:

Die nötige firmware (prism54-firmware) habe ich auch emerged.
iwconfig zeigt mir kein neues wireless interface.
habe inzwischen 3 stunden lang diverse threads gelesen und rumprobiert. komme allerdings nicht weiter.
kann mir jemand sagen was ich falsch mache?

Ist im Kernel WLAN->Intersil Prism GT/Duette/Indigo PCI/Cardbus aktiviert? und wenn als modul wird modul geladen?
Läuft der pcimcia daemon ?
Was gibt dmesg aus nachdem die WLAN Karte eingesteckt wurde ?
Ist die WG511 Karte v1 oder v2 (steht auf der Karte) prism54 driver läuft soweit ich weiß nur bei v1.
