I did a search, but I didn't see anything.
Are the forums integrated with the mailing lists in any way?
Will they be?

The forums aren't currently integrated with the mailing list, and probably won't be. I don't really see an easy way to integrate them. It might be easy to simply post every message submitted to the mailing list to a specific forum or something, but that would be rather bloated and hard to read unless there was a way to make the mailing list replies appear as replies to the topic on the mailing list.

Hopefully something can be worked out. I'm surprised no one has done it yet. I looked around the web for a while and didn't see any forum that was integrated with a mail-list manager.
By the way, this one is nice.

I'm the guy that runs the mailing list search search engine at [ http://fireserver.ath.cx/gentoo/search ]. In a few weeks (after finals) when I get some free time I'll stick a feature in the search engine I have on there to submit a search to these forums at the same time and return hits with links to messages in this forum as well as hits to emails on the mailing list, that way you can search in one place for all the information you need. It's just a matter of finding some free time  Incidentally, there will be a day or two of downtime when I move the server for the summer, but I'll throw up a warning before I move the box.
