I emerged drupal with -vhosts and have /var/www/localhost/htdocs/drupal set as my DocumentRoot. I would like to add gallery to my webpage while keeping drupal as my DocumentRoot.
What first came to mind was just creating a symlink from htdocs/gallery to htdocs/drupal/gallery, but that gives me a 403 error. Has anyone else run into a problem like this and found a workaround?

Hi.
Why don't you create an Alias and Directory entry for your gallery? Add the following to httpd.conf.
Code: | Alias /gallery "/var/www/localhost/htdocs/gallery"
<Directory /var/www/localhost/htdocs/gallery>
Option FollowSymLinks
AllowOverride none
</Directory> |

Thanks for the tip! That was exactly what I was looking for. One note though, Quote: | Option FollowSymLinks | should be Quote: | Options FollowSymLinks |
