Hello everybody,
My problem is as follows:
I want to create a raid5 with 3 disks for my data.
Now i'm wondering if I will still be able to access my data if my gentoo system breaks,
e.g. through knoppix or other liveCDs?

Provided your liveCD has raid support, either built in or as a module - yes.
You should test this before you actually need it.
