Hi, I get some really wierd problem upgrading from 4.0 to 4.1. I followed the guide posted on the gentoo page and it worked just fine up to the part
when you read back the old databases. I have a table with colums with float numbers.. like 165.0 and so on. And for some reason all the values above 100 has been turned into 99.99 after the upgrade.

Sounds like the type of the column does not allow for more then 2.2 digits. Check the table definition to see if thats the problem. If it is you can manually edit the create table statement in your dump and try again.

hi, I did that and it say in the table that it is an float with 4,2 width.. if I get this correctly it would mean that the maximum allowed number would be 9999.99 right?

Wrong. In MySQL 4+ it means number between -99.99 and 99.99, in MySQL 3.x it was number between -.99 and .99 (I'm not joking). Take a look.
