Hi Gents,
I'm not sure if any of you have see and play with Knoppix (www.knoppix.net)
It uses the kudzu hardware library and a series of script to automatically detect and setup your harware, including your X config....
I would like to great a generic gentoo built on cd that can be used for demo purposes... Let me know if anyone is or has working on an e-build.
Thanks
Hugues

This would be great to have as part of a collection of install scripts that could be used to help people setup gentoo. |

Ive been playing around with Knoppix & have been pretty impressed. Its worked well on all the machines I have tried it out on.
I'm debating playing around with it in setting up the default environment it boots into, because combined with a kiosk style browser it would be great for "public" machines (in libraries, etc). Anyone tried setting it up to boot into an environment you set up? |
