LSI Fusion-MPT 53c1030 Performance Issues

Starting with Kernel 2.6.13, I've had massively degraded performance with my MPT scsci card. I hoped that 2.6.14 would fix it up, but no... the issue is that it takes huge amounts of time write, and reads are pretty degraded. Boot under 2.6.12 again, it's great.

Anyone have any insight on this? The only thing I haven't done is try and turn off PCI-X support, perhaps that is an issue. Will try that. The older kernels did not have the option to turn on support.
