I'm running very low on HD space. I've deleted big files in /usr/portage/distfiles and obviously cleared /tmp /var/tmp etc.
I've been a bit of an idiot emerging it seems, 'cos I dont know where space has gone.
I havn't installed that much, but there is a lot of stuff I havn't a clue about.
Any directories or caches or anything I could clear up? |

Look for ccache's cache, yeah - that could be a GB right there.
Also, learn these two commands:
To see where all the space went.

Anyway you could also clean /var/log.
Do
to see the space that log file take (some file can rich a certain weigth ...!!)
Then try to empty this.
You can also make
| Code: | | emerge -av depclean |
to clean dependencies no more active. But it's a little bit dangerous! Be sure that all packages are unused.

Yeah, 250megs in /var/log/portage.
Safe to delete these, right? |
