Hmmm,
I have a laptop fitted with an Nvidia GeForce 6800 graphics card and it sure does put out some heat!!! It is great for gaming, but when I'm just working in the desktop it is putting out all this unnecessary heat and noise (cooling fans). With summer coming down here in Australia, I was wondering if there was a way to underclock the graphics unit to reduce its head output and even power usage? I have cpufreqd running on my CPU to throttle that back when I'm not working it hard and this does work well. Is there something like this for the graphics processor (GPU)?
Thanks! _________________ --
