ah now i understand the problem. It truely is not a bug, but the way that singals react to parts inside the edj file. when the window is out of focus the top left corner and the bottom right corner are located at the very top of the window once the windo gets focus the title bar image drops down. The shade signal is tied to the title bar part and if the image is not there then as far as e is concerned the part is not there :? as long as you click on the dark blue drop down it should grab just fine even if the dropdown hasnt finished it's animation. as far as the click to focus issue is concerned i will see what i can do about it in the future maybe make the titlebar part a tri state beast

Yep, that's it!
So boneyfrog and ppurka, is the solution to use an older version of blue_eyed? Change the focus behaviour? Maybe use some other theme meanwhile it gets fixed in a newer version...?
What about Gant? Does anyone knows if there will be updates? It's a pity if it won't...

I will prolly have the next blue eyed ready for public consumption this weekend so it should be up on get-e.org by tuesday at the latest.

That's great!!
I'll be waiting for Tuesday then, or maybe I can get my hands on a pre-release ;)

Let him make the modifications at his own pace, will you (don't take this as a snub) ;)

@boneyfrog: BTW, I am really glad someone mentioned this "bug", I had it in the back of my mind for several weeks. Now, we get to have a new, updated version of your excellent theme :D

@boneyfrog Thanks for that extremely quick update :D It seems to have fixed the "unable to (un)shade unfocused window" bug. However, the "unable to move unfocused window" bug is still there it seems.

i am going to blame raster for that problem, when clicking on the title bar when you have click to focus set the only signal that gets grabbed is the focus action itself and e ignores that the mouse button is still clicked so it forgets to drag the window around when you move the mouse, alt + left click will move the window around tho. Only way to solve this pretty much breaks the theme as far as title bar animation is concerned.

Mh, are there any alternatives to the official cvs server beside the tux server?
i tried to connect to the official cvs the whole day, but no succses. :(

Code:

 * Running  cvs -q -f -z3 -d ":pserver:anonymous:@cvs.sourceforge.net:/cvsroot/enlightenment" login
Logging in to :pserver:anonymous@cvs.sourceforge.net:2401/cvsroot/enlightenment
cvs [login aborted]: unrecognized auth response from cvs.sourceforge.net: M -!- Client or Server timeout occurred!

!!! ERROR: dev-libs/eet-9999 failed.
!!! Function cvs_fetch, Line 332, Exitcode 1
!!! cvs login command failed
!!! If you need support, post the topmost build error, NOT this status message.

 *  Trial: 1 in 10 secs.

They are setting up a new CVS server... but for now, those two are the only choices.
The tux server will be disable very soon..
They (the developers) also mention to keep a stable tarball with almost the latest versions meanwhile this new CVS server isn't up and running.

boneyfrog, the new version of your theme solved the slowness problem... looks great! 8)

Yes, I meant those.
I've heard that someone offered to make ebuilds from all tarballs, but I have no idea how's that going on...
On the other hand, don't know if you get that much advantage on using ebuilds instead of tarballs. This because you are not (or I'd assume that) updating E17 at the same time as you update your system, right? You need to run a script in order to get the ebuilds emerged in proper order. Thus, it ends to be the same if you use ebuilds or not...

I know this has been posted before but the search engine on the forums is sooo damn "good". How can I make the ebuilds to avoid connecting to the cvs servers? I.E. just make them use what I have in distfiles? (I know it sounds a lil strange but it really isn't).

Code:
ECVS_SERVER="offline" emerge whatever
will use your downloaded cvs code and won't attempt to download a fresh one

Thanks (both of you). My copy is fresher, that's why. :wink: I just don't want it to waste time trying to connect just to see I have newer files.

Exactly how do you get a fresher copy than the working cvs?

as far as i know anon cvs server at sf.net doesnt work for more then one week. So I presumme that this cvs torrent was made from devel cvs server which should work.
basicly all I found that about that torrent from topic on #e on irc.freenode.org

OK, that means the latest torrent cvs is March 15, the last date, it so happens, I updated my E17, so I am still as up to date.

What is happening to SF cvs? Does the ebuild have to have its url changed? I think I saw something about the SF cvs checkout being changed from cvs. to to anoncvs., or is that to do with another system?

Developer.

PyroBor: AFAIK Kingrayray doesn't have dev. access. And even if he did, the dev cvs migrates to annon in 5-6 hrs. Which makes the torrents pretty old. The torrents are there for people that can't get to the cvs as sf servers get overloaded very fast. Anyway, enlightenment is getting its own cvs server soon enough.

BTW. slovenian translation should hit the annon cvs sometime next morning.
