where would i find the device file (ie /dev/sda1) for a hard drive device which is connected to a PCMCIA usb 2.0 card???
i have pcmcia support, usb-storage, ohci-hcd & usb-uhci built into my kernel.
i connected my drive and booted into the gentoo install cd and i could not find the device file there either!
any help would be great..
thanks

What do you see when you watch the output of 'tail -f /var/log/everything' when you attach the drive to a running system? |
