Quote: | The release of v2.9.6 was utterly broken. To fix this please
take v2.9.7.
This should be available shortly from the gnump3d.org website.
(Just waiting for the webpages to refresh themselves).
In the meantime you can find it:

Confirming that 2.9.6 is broken, and I've waited a few days for 2.9.7 and still do not see it...

Since it does not appear an update has made it into portage yet here is how I solved this problem (arch amd64 but it should work for any others too)
as root
Code: | /etc/init.d/gnump3d stop
cd /usr/local/portage
mkdir media-sound
cd media-sound
cp -a /usr/portage/media-sound/gnump3d .
cp gnump3d-2.9.6.ebuild gnump3d-2.9.7.ebuild
ebuild gnump3d-2.9.7.ebuild digest
emerge -vDup gnump3d
emerge -vDu gnump3d
/etc/init.d/gnump3d start
|
This is assuming you have your portage overlay set to '/usr/local/portage'
restarting gnump3d takes a while since it has to re-index your entire collection... if you have over 30 gigs it takes a while.
Hope that helps. |
