Stawiam swiezy system na nowym dysku, jestem w trakcie kompilowania kernela, zeemergowalem gentoo-sources na x86 ale przy wykonywaniu menuconfig pokazuje sie cos takiego

| Hmm... Wygląda jakbyś załadował konfig z innego jądra znaczy z innym patchem. Kiedyś tak zrobiłem i nie było zbyt radośnie. Najlepiej skasuj konfig i na nowo go skonfiguruj. |

| A wg mnie to nic strasznego. Menuconfig po prostu pomija te nonexistent symbols (czyli pozycje konfigu, których nie ma dla tej wersji kernela) porównując go z domyślnym konfigiem. Miałem to samo jak przerzucałem konfig pomiędzy gentoo-* a ck-* i nitro-sources. |

| No to musze was rozczarowac, tam nie ma zadnego konfigu, to swieze, dopiero co sciagniete zrodla kernela, kernel nie byl wczesniej kompilowany na tej maszynie (jestem zachrootowany ze starego gentoo a nowe kompiluje na innym dysku) |

| No to nas nie rozczarujesz jak używasz tej samej partycji /boot. make install kopiuje również config na tą partycję. |

Nie moge go skonfigurowac, bo ten komunikat ktory napisalem w pierwszym poscie, pojawia sie po wywolaniu komendy make menuconfig, oldconfig dziala, ale jakos nie potrafie sie nim poslugiwac ... gubie sie w nim
Edit. Sprostuje to, bo rzeczywiscie mozna to dwojako zrozumiec, okno konfiguracji w ogole sie nie pojawia, od razu wyrzuca ten blad |

| A jak zrobisz emerge -C gentoo-sources, potem wyrzucisz katalog /usr/src/linux-* i znowu dasz emerge gentoo-sources? Dalej jest ten sam błąd? |

Ktora wersje gentoo-sources probojesz instalowac ?
Ja dzisiaj przesiadlem sie na 2.6.14, bez zadnych klopotow.
Moze sproboj inne zrodla, np vanilla-sources czy efekt masz ten sam.
Sprawdz tez jak sie zachowuje np takie make mrproper (w /usr/src/linux), ktory czysci wszystko jak leci co zwiazane z kernelem. |
