Alsa and SB Live problem [SOLVED]

I read every other post on the forum and for the life of me I dont know what the problem is.

I am using the 2.6.14 kernel with the kernel alsa drivers. With the 1.0.9 alsa libs I can get the front channel working with speaker-test but the rears would error out. When I would watch a movie it would just error out. I went to the 1.0.10rc2 alsa libs the front channel wont work and the rear works wonderfully. Speaker test will only play the rear channels and the front ones are silent. I have no clue whats going on, I can play everything else using the front channels except for movies and speaker-test. I also use to have the emu10k1 settings in the alsamixer and now I dont.

Im lost, can anyone please help.


Well after farting around with the damn thing for the better part of the day I managed to finally get it working properly. I threw the kernel alsa drivers out the window and went with the stable ones in portage. Now I can get all channels properly.
